OVERVIEW
Connect & Serve is an upcoming non-profit organization
geared towards helping those in poverty achieve financial
independence from a holistic standpoint. It aims to do this
by helping people address everything affecting their financial
status including, but not limited to their neighborhoods,
education, spending habits and everything in between.
Grant's Impact
I saved Connect & Serve $1686. I did this by developing their website's information architecture by identifying what types of information and images they need, and developing a user interface that makes a seamlessly intuitive user experience for Connect & Serve's donors.

With the creation of Connect and Serve's website I've aided them in marketing themselves and getting their
brand noticed by potential donors.

"Grant has been an absolute pleasure to work with. When I started this process, I had no idea about website building, content or design. Grant became my teacher and supported my desire to learn the backend so I could manage the website when the project was over. He is a kind young man with a very kind spirit. He gave me a lot of good feedback and ideas for the site. I am happy!" - Juanita White

Website Sketches
Whenever I sketch what the final outcome of something is going to look like I’m not necessarily looking to sketch every single detail of the project. However I do need to sketch enough material to get a good idea of how the project should look like.
1st Website Draft
Here is a sample of what the first draft of the website looked like. I went with green because it deals with things such as growth and financial freedom. I also created the menu navigation. I didn’t create the logo, but I did reformat it into a circle and put it next to menu navigation.
2nd Website Draft
Here is a sample of what the first draft of the website looked like. I removed the green because the client felt green was too reminiscent of brands dealing with climate change. I also created the menu navigation. I didn’t create the logo, but I did reformat it into a circle and put it next to menu navigation.
User Feedback Surveys
The client was having issues with the website
and so I decided to get some user feedback
on what could be done to make the website better than how it was at the time. The biggest problem seemed to be that the website lacked legibility as the words were to small.
The animation on the site also seemed to distract from the legibility of the website.
Final Draft
This is the 3rd and final draft of the website which can be seen by clicking on the "Connect & Serve" button at the bottom of this page.
